I’m Hide, a Japan-based web and app creator who sometimes works as a nomad abroad.
Do you ever look back at a map of places you’ve visited?
Moments come back: “I went to that city… I remember what happened there…” — each pin feels like a little story.

For me, one of those stories is always cats.
I often take photos of cats I meet on the road.
But when I look back later, I sometimes ask myself: “Wait, where did I take this picture?”
Even when writing blog posts, I wished I could recall the place more easily.

Of course, I could write it down — but that’s a hassle.
I could turn on iPhone’s location tagging — but privacy becomes another headache.
What I really wanted was something simpler, something safer.

That’s when it hit me: what if I built a camera app just for cats?
An app where each photo drops a pin on the map — a personal atlas of feline encounters.

And that’s how the idea of MeowSnap was born.
It’s launching soon, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
