Taipei Xiahai City God Temple is a historic temple founded in the mid-19th century and a key place of worship in Dadaocheng. It enshrines Xiahai Chenghuang (the City God) and is also known for Yue Lao, the matchmaking deity. Easy to visit while walking Dihua Street; cats may appear near the entrance, but sightings are not guaranteed.

- From Taipei Main Station, take the MRT to Beimen or Zhongshan.
- Walk toward Dihua Street Section 1 in the Dadaocheng area (about 10–15 minutes).
- Look for Taipei Xiahai City God Temple at No. 61 on Dihua Street Section 1.

I stumbled across this temple on the way back from a morning run through Dihua Street. A few cats were resting near the entrance, and it was an easy place to pause with MeowSnap.
