Hemingway Home & Museum

Key West, USA

About this spot

Ernest Hemingway's former Key West home is famous for its colony of polydactyl cats, many descended from his six-toed cat Snow White. Around 60 cats still live on the grounds today.

How to get there

The museum is at 907 Whitehead Street in Old Town Key West. From Duval Street, it is about a 10-minute walk.

Key West is a compact island and easy to explore on foot or by bicycle. Key West International Airport (EYW) is a short taxi or rideshare ride from the historic district.

The house is open daily for guided or self-guided tours. Hours and ticket prices vary by season — check the official website before you visit.
