I flew from Taipei to Kuala Lumpur.
This time, it was just a stopover on the way to Bali.
Only two nights.
I stayed again at
lyf Chinatown Kuala Lumpur,
the same place as before.
I spent most of the time working—
in the coworking space at the hotel,
or quietly in my room.
Light Capture
The next day, I went to Light Capture,
a cafe that had been closed the last time I tried.
It seemed popular.
People were taking photos everywhere.
A spacious, well-designed place.
A person I met at the hotel’s coworking space
had told me something earlier.
“Recently, a road collapsed and someone died.
You should be careful around here.”
Since then,
small cracks in the road started to stand out.
I catch myself walking
as if I might need to jump at any moment.
Just in case.
Nothing actually happens.
Still,
it feels slightly unsettling.
That was Kuala Lumpur, this time.
