About Ogijima

A small island about 40 minutes by ferry from Takamatsu, known for steep slopes, sea views, and Setouchi Triennale artworks. It is not a dedicated "cat island" like Tashirojima or Aoshima, but cats often rest along the port and village lanes — a nice extra for cat lovers exploring the island.

How to get to Ogijima

From JR Takamatsu Station, walk to Takamatsu Port and take the Ogijima ferry (about 40 minutes). Ferry schedules change by season — check the latest timetable before you go. The island is steep, so allow extra walking time, wear comfortable shoes, and bring water and cash on warm days.
